Sporadic malfunction of instrument panel lighting

If this problem is detected in the above-mentioned vehicle, a possible cause may be damage to the wiring harness of the ambient light/rain sensor.

In addition, sporadic failures could occur in the exterior lighting function and in the wiper control caused by the rain sensor.

In the driver information system, the following message appears -- Automatic headlight failure.

- Error code B22E34A could be stored.

Repair notes

- Check the wiring harness of the ambient light/rain sensor.

- Damage can occur here in the area of the fuse box as a result of sub-standard cable routing.

Remedy:

Check the wiring harness for damage, repair if necessary and ensure that the wiring harness is laid correctly to prevent further damage.
