Loss of coolant
On the above vehicles (except for the Mazdaspeed 3), there is the possibility for coolant to leak out at the cylinder head flange.
The following vehicles are affected:
Mazda 3, from 2006 to July 1, 2008
(up to chassis no.: JM1BK3xxxxxx187397)
Mazda 5, model year 2008
(up to chassis no.: JM1CRxxxxxx327438)
In case of coolant loss, special attention should be paid to the coolant flange gasket on the cylinder head (drawing 15-169). It may need to be replaced with a modified variant (LF1F-15-169).
After the repair, refill and bleed the cooling system as per the manufacturer's specifications.
