Failure of the windscreen wipers.
If the windscreen wipers fail on the vehicle listed above, the cause may be a defect in the wiper arm.
In this case, insufficient torque in the wiper arm nuts is responsible for the failure of the windscreen wipers.
The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the issue and notified owners of affected models. For various reasons, however, it must be assumed that not all vehicles have been checked or modified.
The wiper arm nuts are replaced at specialist garages and attached with the correct torque.
