Insufficient airflow on the dashboard and permanent airflow in the footwell

In the vehicles mentioned above with air conditioning, the air flow from the air outlet nozzles may be impaired. Possibly the air flow to the footwell is permanently present and/or the air flow at the dashboard nozzles is insufficient.

Vehicles with the following chassis no. are affected: Land Rover Defender: 000252-000954 Land Rover Discovery: 413208-434784

The cause may be sluggish or stuck air distributor flaps. To remedy this, modified foam buffers must be fitted to the flaps of the heater/evaporator housing. To do this, various parts (hand compartment, footwell cover, etc.) must be dismantled/assembled. To carry out the operation correctly and obtain the parts required, contacting a Land Rover Dealer is advised.
