Noises from the engine compartment + error code P2600

If unusual noises are heard from the engine compartment of the above-mentioned vehicle, the cause could be a faulty electric coolant pump. Often the error code P2600 (coolant pump) is also stored in the control unit.

remove and disassemble the coolant pump
If there are no traces of corrosion: repair pump with repair kit (251000-3HZ0FFF)
If corrosion is visible, replace the pump
Check the multi-connector of the coolant pump for corrosion and clean/repair where necessary
Fill/vent cooling system and check for leaks
Clear error memory
Carry out a test drive
