Whistling noises from air-conditioning systems

In the above vehicles, whistling noises can be produced when the air-conditioning system is operated. One possible cause could be vibrations in the "expansion valve/coolant hose" assembly.

A modified coolant hose with expansion valve is available from the auto manufacturer as a remedy. Vehicles up to the following vehicle identification no. may be affected:

SHSRE5***8U016571 / SHSRE7***8U004030

However, before replacing the hose assembly, it must be ensured that the noise is not caused by an incorrect coolant level.

For this vehicle, the fill level of R134a is 465g.
