Interior blower failure
Vehicle interior water entry
If the interior blower fails in the vehicles mentioned above, water entering into the vehicle interior could be the cause.
The water can enter via the air conditioner/heater unit or the air channels into the vehicle interior and
cause the blower to fail. This is usually caused by a faulty seal on the under side of the interior filter housing.
The following steps should be taken to rectify the problem:
- Check the blower motor fuse and replace if necessary
- Check that the blower motor is functioning correctly and replace if necessary
- Remove the interior filter
- Remove the interior filter housing, equip it with sealing material and reinstall it
- Insert interior filter
- Carry out leak test
