If it is found during maintenance of the air-conditioning system that the quantity of refrigerant lost is significant, the air-conditioning system lines and their fixings/holders should be closely inspected. Oscillations and vibrations can cause holders to break or lines to crack. Line connections may also start to leak.

When replacing the lines, it should be ensured that they are installed free of stress and with as little oscillation as possible.
