Fiat Tipo: poor heater performance

The performance of the passenger compartment heater in the above-mentioned vehicles may be restricted or poor at low outside temperatures. 

The first thing to do is to rule out electrical and mechanical reasons for the malfunction and check the cooling or heating system.  

If you are unable to identify any causes of a malfunction, modifying the air conditioning/heating control unit software may resolve the situation. Contact the vehicle manufacturer or a Fiat dealer for this purpose.
