Direction indicator switch does not reset automatically.

In case of complaints on these vehicles that the direction indicator switch (direction indicator stalk - automatic reset mechanism) does not reset automatically, an incorrectly installed / positioned coiled spring in the steering wheel may be the cause. To rectify this problem it is to be checked that the electrical connection on the coiled spring in the steering wheel is at the

"12 o'clock position" (see figure). If not, place coiled spring in the correct position.

Note: the driver's airbag is only to be fitted by

appropriately qualified personnel.
