Diesel particulate filter regeneration is not possible
Regeneration of the diesel particulate filter may no longer be carried out on the above-mentioned vehicle type. Regeneration using a suitable diagnostic device (forced regeneration) is also not possible.
The particulate filter is so heavily loaded that an error code is stored. This required engine temperature can no longer be reached if the thermostat is defective.
As part of the troubleshooting process, the engine temperature parameters should be checked with a suitable diagnostic device during an overland test drive. Once the cause of the fault has been removed, delete the error memory and then carry out a test drive.
