A faulty battery charging cable on the above vehicles may result in overheating and deformation up to the point of melting the charging cable.
As a result of the described issue, the battery will no longer be sufficiently charged or will not charge.
When working on high voltage components (HV), it is absolutely essential that the complete vehicle electrical system is switched off and voltage-free beforehand. Only specially qualified persons may carry out this work (experts in working on HV intrinsically safe systems in vehicles).
Repair note:
Check the battery, connections, and charging cable for damage and replace if required.
A modified charging cable is available via the vehicle manufacturer.
