If the above-mentioned problem is detected, one possible cause may be incorrect adjustment / positioning of the stop-lamp switch.
This can cause the stop lamp to light up permanently without the brake having to be applied.
It is also possible that the error code C0161 is stored in the ABS control unit.
Remedy:
Check functioning of the stop-lamp switch and readjust if necessary. In the event of malfunctioning, replace the stop-lamp switch and position it correctly.
In addition, read the error code memory in the ABS control unit and delete stored errors.
