Hybrid system suddenly switches off
In the case of the above-mentioned vehicle, the hybrid system, during sudden acceleration, may switch off abruptly instead of switching to emergency mode.
During excessive acceleration, there may be temporary slip in the input attenuation of the hybrid transmission.
Because of a software weakness in the hybrid control unit, this can lead to a shutting down of the hybrid system. The vehicle manufacturer has acknowledged the problem and is offering a software update as a remedy (for vehicles manufactured between 07.07.2020 and 13.11.2020). This course of action is marked "22SMD-092" and is noted in the warranty system.
If necessary, a software update can be carried out using Hella-Gutmann macsRemote Services or alternatively a pass-through-compatible diagnostic device of the mega macs series. Furthermore, registered access to the vehicle manufacturer's online portal is required. If the appropriate equipment is not available and there is no suitable access possible, please contact an authorised specialist workshop.
