Replacing the xenon bulb (bulb type D1S 84V 35W)
Hella spare part: 8 GS 009 028 - 111

  • Release the cover flap on the lamp by pressing the locking mechanism and swivelling it backwards
  • Remove the cover cap from the lamp
  • Detach the plug connection on the light source
  • Turn the xenon bulb a quarter turn to the left and carefully remove it from the lamp
  • Insert the new bulb into the lamp turned slightly to the left and lock it correctly by turning it clockwise.
  • Avoid tilting the xenon bulb as this could damage the glass bulb.
  • When installing the new bulb, it is important to make sure it is correctly seated in the lamp holder.
  • Attach electrical connector
  • Complete the reassembly of the lamp

Then check that the lighting system is working. Check lamp setting and adjust if necessary.

IMPORTANT

Xenon lamps are ignited by a high-voltage pulse. Special care must therefore be taken when handling these light sources.
Bulbs or xenon lamps should only be replaced once they have cooled down. A defective light source may only be replaced like for like. The relevant designation can be found on the component. Do not touch the bulb of the light source.
Please always observe the maintenance and repair notes provided by the vehicle manufacturer when carrying out such work and checks!
