If customers complain about the air-conditioning system performance on the vehicles mentioned above, the cause may be a faulty condenser.
Corrosion and/or vibrations can cause the condenser fins to come loose and fail (see figure). This impairs the liquefaction of the refrigerant in the condenser and can result in excessive pressure on the high-pressure side.
To eliminate this problem, the condenser and dryer should be replaced.
