HELLA customers have more than 2,000 brake callipers to choose from. The range currently comprises more than 350 new parts without deposit and more than 1,800 replacement brake callipers. The 350 or more brake callipers that are available as new parts without a deposit are also available as replacement brake callipers. The range of these new callipers covers all the big movers in the European vehicle fleet.
Due to the growing demand from end consumers for repairs that reflect current value, reconditioned old parts, such as our brake callipers, are becoming increasingly attractive for workshops and motorists. One of the reasons why the demand for remanufactured parts is rising is because there is a proportionally higher number of older vehicles and also because overall they have a longer service life. Environmental considerations are also playing an increasingly important role, as valuable resources and our environment can be preserved by reconditioning replacement parts.
However, when it comes to product safety HELLA won’t take any chances. Whether a new part or a reconditioned old part, the safety standards are consistently high and demanding which is why the reconditioning process is subject to precisely defined procedures and standards. For example, all safety-relevant components and all rubber parts are entirely replaced. All other components are completely reworked. This means that a replacement calliper from HELLA fulfils the highest safety and quality requirements."
