Ticking Sounds

From Instrument Panel Area

In the vehicles listed above, ticking noises can arise from the instrument panel or the instrument cluster area.

The potential cause for this is one or more actuator motors of the heating/air-conditioning system.

Vehicles with the following chassis numbers may be affected: N53000 - N91220

Proceed as follows to rectify the problem:

  • Exactly locate the source of the noise
  • If required, carry out an actuator test
  • Replace the affected actuator motors
  • Read out/clear the error memory
  • Program the actuator motors
