Smoke generation may be experienced when driving one of the vehicles listed above.
Engine oil can collect in the charge-air cooler and get into the combustion chamber, thus causing smoke to be generated during operation.
This issue may be caused by faulty vacuum pumps or turbochargers, or a software error.
The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the issue and notified the owners of all the affected models.
For various reasons, however, it can be assumed that not all vehicles have been inspected and repaired.
The authorized garage will perform a software update on the affected vehicles.
The turbocharger and vacuum pump will be checked for leaks, and faulty components will be replaced where necessary.
