The above vehicles can experience signal horn failure due to a fault in the steering column´s electronic module in the above-mentioned vehicles.
The fault often occurs after driving long routes with the lights switched on. A contact weakness in the steering column module can cause the signal horn to malfunction.
The vehicle manufacturer is already aware of the problem. As part of a service campaign, the vehicles will be checked and new software loaded if necessary. A blue dot will then be stuck on the back of the steering wheel.
Nevertheless, one may assume that for various reasons not all vehicles have been checked and repaired.
Please take this information into account if there are complaints about the signal horn.
