On the above vehicles, a defective charge air cooler hose may cause a loss of engine power.
On some vehicles, the bending radius at the upper charge air cooler hose is too narrow. This means that the engine vibrations are not absorbed sufficiently, which may lead to cracks in the turbo hose.
This will inevitably lead to a substantial loss of engine power.
To remedy this, the hose should be replaced. It is important to ensure an adequate bending radius.
