"All-wheel drive off" warning message

In the vehicles listed above, the DIC (Driver Information Center) may briefly display the warning message "All-wheel drive off."

No error code is stored in the system.

There are several possible causes for this warning message appearing.

  1. As a safety function to prevent increased wheelspin in all-wheel drive, the system may be switched off temporarily.

Software that responds too sensitively switches the all-wheel drive off.

The vehicle manufacturer has already addressed the issue.

An improved software version is available as an update at specialist garages from the end of 2013.

  1. If an emergency tire is fitted after a tire has blown, the system detects this and switches the all-wheel drive off.
