On the vehicles listed above, the following message may appear in the DIC (Driver Information Center):

Code 84 (reduced engine power).

Thermal problems may cause the aforementioned error message in the DIC. The engine power is throttled.

Vehicles with the following vehicle identification number are affected:

W0LSH9EF6B4000002 - W0LSH9EF7B4408718

Possible cause:

Cooling of the intercooler is impaired due to incorrect radiator grille covers. The airstream from driving cannot cool the intercooler sufficiently.

Remedy:

To remedy this, the radiator grille covers (drawing, item 1) should be unclipped from outside through the opening in the lower radiator grille and removed.
