Symptoms | Humming noise when air conditioning is on |
Important safety note
Humming noise when the air conditioning system is on in the above-mentioned vehicle models. The noise may be caused by resonance vibrations of the low-pressure refrigerant hose.
The vehicle manufacturer offers a vibration damper (Figure 1) that can be retrofitted to remedy this. Use two screws (07129903806) to attach the two half shells (64509231714) approx. 80 mm from the hose connection’s crimping (Figure 2).
The low-pressure line is located near the wheel well. Prior to installing the vibration damper, check the air conditioning contains the correct amount of refrigerant and the pressure is correct.
