Why HELLA?

HELLA Radiator Fans additional benefits

Investing in HELLA radiator fans means choosing a product that combines quality, performance and reliability, ensuring your engine remains at an optimal temperature for efficient and safe operation.

Comprehensive Range: With a wide selection of radiator fans tailored to specific vehicle models and engine types, HELLA ensures a perfect fit and optimal compatibility. This extensive range allows customers to find the ideal fan for a vehicle's cooling system needs.

How does it work

How does it work?

Engine Heat Generation: When the engine runs, it generates heat. The radiator's job is to absorb and dissipate this heat through coolant, which circulates through the engine.

Activation of the Fan: When the engine temperature rises and the coolant temperature increases, the thermostat or temperature sensor signals the radiator fan to turn on.

Airflow Creation: The fan, which is located behind or in front of the radiator, begins to spin, drawing air through the radiator. This airflow helps to cool down the coolant as it passes through the radiator fins, ensuring that the engine doesn't overheat.

Temperature Control: The radiator fan continues running until the engine cools down to an optimal temperature. Once the engine reaches a safe operating temperature, the fan automatically turns off.

Types of Fans: Mechanical Fans: Driven by the engine via a belt and pulley system, they provide airflow when needed.

Electric Fans: Powered by the car's electrical system, they are more efficient and turn on and off automatically based on the engine’s temperature.

Replace A/C parts

Why and when to replace?

Poor or No Airflow: If the fan isn’t spinning or producing insufficient airflow, the engine may overheat because the coolant is not being properly cooled. This indicates a malfunction that requires replacement.

Unusual Noises: Grinding, squealing, or rattling noises coming from the fan often signal a worn-out motor, broken fan blades, or loose components. If these sounds persist, it may be time to replace the fan.

Overheating Engine: If the engine frequently overheats and the radiator fan is not activating when it should, it might be due to a faulty fan or the electrical components controlling it (e.g., temperature sensors or relays). In this case, replacement is necessary.

Electrical Issues: For electric fans, if there are issues like blown fuses, wiring problems, or the fan not responding to temperature signals, it may need to be replaced to restore proper cooling.

Visible Damage: Cracked or damaged fan blades, a broken fan motor, or damage to the fan shroud can cause the fan to stop working effectively, requiring a replacement.

Inconsistent Fan Operation: If the fan runs intermittently or doesn't switch on/off properly, it could indicate a failure in the control system or the fan itself, necessitating replacement.
