There may be a windscreen wiper malfunction in the above vehicles.
Despite having the ignition turned on and having the engine running while stationary or crawling, the windscreen wiper does not work Confusingly, the windscreen wiper begins to work again from a speed of approx. 25 km/h upwards.
No error is stored in the vehicle's error log.
First it is necessary to check the fuses and cable connections. If there is no fault to be found here, the engine bonnet contact must be checked.
These vehicles have a safety system so that the windscreen wiper arm does not collide with the engine bonnet when the bonnet is open. If there is no response from the engine bonnet contact, operation of the windscreen wiper is not approved by the control unit.
In order to remedy the fault, the engine bonnet contact should be checked, cleaned, and replaced if required.
