Important safety note

In the above-mentioned vehicle, water can enter the passenger footwell as a result of faulty sealing on the cabin air filter box. This is particularly noticeable during rapid acceleration. Car carpet and floor mats can then become quite wet. Water can also get into the interior fan, which leads to loud, squeaky noises being emitted from the fan.
In order to confirm the cause, the cabin air filters should be removed. These can be reached from the engine compartment (underneath the water box cover). A seal should be visible above the vent box. If it is only loosely attached or shows no real contact pressure, water will enter the vehicle interior via the ventilation housing and the ventilation shafts when it rains.
Remedy or repair measures are to be carried out in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.
Please always follow the repair instructions from the vehicle manufacturer when carrying out such work!
