SCR error: The AdBlue control lamp lights up and the error code P20EE is stored
On the above-mentioned vehicle, the “check engine” lamp or the SCR control lamp may suddenly light up while the car is being driven. The warning message appears in the instrument cluster: "Engine start in 100 KM no longer possible". At the same time, the error code P20EE (SCR exhaust gas treatment) is stored in the engine control unit.
A “software weakness” is the possible cause of the problem.
In order to rule out any other causes, all system-relevant electrical and mechanical components, including the power supply, should be checked before any software update is performed.
A software update can be carried out using Hella-Gutmann macsRemote Services or a pass-through-compatible diagnostic device from the mega macs series. Furthermore, registered access to the vehicle manufacturer's online portal is required. If the appropriate equipment is not available, please contact an authorised specialist workshop.
