Important safety note

The tyre pressure monitoring system may fail on the above-mentioned vehicle model.
The system must first be re-initialised in order to run a check on it. This procedure depends on each individual vehicle type and details can be found in the vehicle operating instructions.
If re-initialisation fails, first check the individual wheel electronics.
This can be done by using a suitable TPMS diagnostic unit.
Information on testing the TPMS sensors can be found in the Hella Tech World under the following section:
"Programming and training tyre pressure sensors"
If no direct fault is found in the periphery of the wheel electronics during troubleshooting, a possible cause of the fault can be a defective remote control receiver.
Replacing this can help here.
The remote control receiver is installed behind the C-pillar side panel in the luggage compartment on the right.
To replace the receiver, proceed as follows:
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Once the cause of the fault has been rectified, delete the error memory. Finally, the tyre pressure monitoring system is to be re-initialised on a test drive.
