There can be multiple reasons if the error message listed above is displayed in the instrument cluster, in combination with the Check Control message "DSC malfunction/Reduced vehicle stability". This error primarily occurs when the Auto Hold Function is active and when the vehicle is moving off. In certain cases, it can also occur through driver error, if they keep their foot on the brake pedal for too long when moving off (two-footed driving)

If no defects have been determined, the ESP control unit software may be updated to correct the error.
