Ingress of water into the interior of the above vehicles can cause the SRS warning light to light up.
Ingress of water through the noise insulator of the front and rear doors generally drenches the carpet in the interior of the vehicle.
This can lead to impairment of electronic system functions in the area of the floor panel.
To solve this problem, dismantle the door trim panels, check whether the insulator is damp and, if necessary, seal it with a sealing strip.
Affected electronic components must be checked for moisture and corrosion and must be dried.
Appropriate measures must then be taken to drain insulators and carpets in the interior of the vehicle.
