FORVIA HELLA offers a comprehensive range of vehicle-specific and universal tyre pressure monitoring sensors that ensure precise and automatic monitoring of tyre pressure. HELLA TPMS sensors are characterised by high quality, easy handling and reliable functioning.
FORVIA HELLA relies on high-precision, direct-measuring TPMS sensors that continuously monitor tyre pressure. The battery-powered sensors record the pressure in each individual tyre in real time and transmit the data wirelessly to the vehicle control unit. Instead of estimating the values, a direct measurement is carried out to ensure maximum accuracy. The control unit in the vehicle automatically compares the measured data with predefined reference values. This enables the system to recognise even creeping pressure losses at an early stage. If the tyre pressure of one or more tyres drops, the driver is immediately informed via a warning message in the vehicle display.
The direct-measuring HELLA TPMS sensors offer decisive advantages over indirect systems:
Tyre pressure monitoring sensors usually have to be replaced after five to ten years or after around 100,000 miles when the battery in the sensors is used up. A necessary battery change is signalled in good time by a display in the vehicle so that there is no sudden failure. It is also necessary to change the sensors when the vehicle switches from summer to winter tyres, as either additional sensors have to be fitted or existing ones converted.
At FORVIA HELLA you can obtain both vehicle-specific and also universal TPMS sensors.
