➔ Depending on the version, air pressure switches use medium pressure to provide electrical feedback, i. e. to connect or disconnect electrical devices or lamps.
➔ Air pressure switches uses springs and diaphragms to control at what pressure the switch is triggered. The springs forces are opposing the pressure of the inlet medium. The spring preload correlates with the pressure at which the switch makes electrical contact. When the pressure drops, the switch is reset to its original state.
➔ Typical applications are pneumatic control systems, diverse applications in pneumatic braking systems or door opening systems.
➔ 10 different HELLA parts for WABCO air brake systems.
➔ Different applications for most common 24 V applications: Mercedes, MAN, Iveco, Scania, Volvo, Renault, Neoplan, Setra, Irisbus, Solaris, Evobus, Irsisbus.
➔ Air pressure switches either break or make contacts, applications designed for different switching pressures.
➔ Air pressure switches are intended for general appl. in pneumatic devices and systems in motor vehicles to signalise the pressure drop or rise.
➔ Mechanical diaphragm pressure switches are pressure-tight with respect to the medium to be measured.
➔ The compressed air is generated, controlled and stored by the compressor, air dryer, pressure regulator and storage tank.
➔ Easy to mount due to 1:1 replacements in OE quality.

NOC – normally open
The contacts are open when there is no media pressure and closed (i. e., conduct electricity) when the device is activated and the pressure setting is reached.
NCC – normally closed
The contacts are closed when there is no media pressure and open (i. e., stopping conduction) when the device is activated and the pressure setting is reached.
Available as NOC (normally open) or NCC (normally closed) switch, depending on the application.
