With our many years of lighting and development expertise, HELLA has brought numerous innovations to the market – from xenon headlamps and dynamic cornering lights to the latest generation of intelligent LED headlamps, such as the Matrix LED HD84. The latest highlight in our wide range of vehicle-specific headlamps is SSL|HD technology, which is based on the miniaturisation principle. Each SSL headlamp consists of 15,000 high-intensity pixels that can be controlled individually – a pioneering technology that offers a perfect balance between high-resolution precision and broad illumination.

HELLA's product world for lighting electronics
HELLA's electronics expertise is based on more than 120 years of experience. Many of our products have been transferred from the OE sector to the independent aftermarket. In addition to our lighting technologies, we also offer the corresponding lighting electronics, such as headlamp levelling actuators, ballasts for xenon headlamps, LED light modules and LED control units. HELLA has continued to optimise and develop its lighting electronics, from halogen headlamps and xenon headlamps to the LED headlamps that are common today. As part of this, LED headlamps that have adaptive lighting systems with control units are taking on more and more safety and convenience functions, such as glare-free high beam, wiping direction indicator or individual welcome scenarios. Our products for the independent aftermarket have the same quality levels offered in series production. Our headlamps, rear lamps and fog lamps are produced in the same factories. The production lines and machines are also identical. We also apply the same elaborate testing procedures. We have been developing vehicle lighting for more than 120 years and are pioneers in the latest lighting technologies: for example, SSL|HD technology is new from the HELLA name. SSL stands for "Solid State Lighting", which is finding its way onto the independent aftermarket. The technology is based on the principle of miniaturisation.
