HELLA’s rain/light/climate sensor features combined sensor control functions such as automatic windshield wipers, optimized lighting and air conditioning based on evaluation of solar loads and humidity in the vehicle, and also comes with a function to improve the visibility of the head-up display (HUD).
The rain/light/climate sensor module is one of the smallest sensors of its type on the market and features a flexible, modular design.
It combines five functions: rain, light, solar load, humidity and visibility of the head-up display.
These multiple functions can be combined as a package according to customer requirements.

The integration of a rain/light sensor considerably helps to improve visibility and comfort in a range of driving situations (e.g. in the rain, in tunnels and at night) and when exposed to diverse environmental influences (e.g. rain, sun, humidity).
