This joint venture between HELLA and Mahle is one of the world’s leading companies in the area of climate control and thermal management for the automotive industry. Its main product group consists of operator and control units for vehicle air conditioning; climate control sensors and fan controls round out the portfolio. BHTC covers the entire spectrum in this segment, from design and development to production of entire climate control systems.

Beijing Samlip Automotive Lighting is specialized in the production and sales of headlamps, rear combination lamps and signal lights. The joint venture is regarded as the exclusive supplier for Korean customers in China and in so doing combines HELLA's know-how in lighting systems with established business relationships with Korean customers from Samlip.

Headquartered in Changchun, the joint venture is responsible for developing, manufacturing and selling lighting systems as well as integrating electronics parts and control units in headlamps. Changchun FAWAY Automobile Components, a subsidiary of FAW, is a partner of the joint venture and specializes in automotive spare parts and accessories in China. The joint venture focuses on manufacturing lighting systems for the Chinese market.

As one of the global market leaders for radar sensors, InnoSenT GmbH develops and manufactures pioneering radar technology for safety-enhancing driver assistance systems in cars, such as the Lane Change or Lane Tracking Assistant. InnoSenT GmbH is also involved in producing systems designed for traffic monitoring and building surveillance. The focus of the cooperation between HELLA and InnoSenT GmbH primarily concentrates on the development and production of radar sensors for automotive applications in HELLA's global network.

Beijing Hella BHAP Automotive Lighting, the joint venture of HELLA and leading Chinese automobile manufacturer BAIC, develops, manufactures and sells competitive headlamps and rear combination lamps specifically with the Chinese market in mind. To this end, the company draws on the comprehensive experience HELLA has gained in lighting technology and combines this know-how with the market access offered by the joint venture partner. With the joint venture, HELLA solidifies and strengthens its presence in the important growth market of China in the long term.

HELLA BHAP Electronics is the second joint venture that HELLA has established together with BHAP, a company belonging to the Chinese automotive group BAIC, and the first joint venture dealing with electronics components for HELLA in China. The production facility of the joint venture will be located in Zhenjiang where a new electronics plant is being currently set up. The plant will initially comprise a production area of 7,000 square meters. It is planned to commence series production at the beginning of 2020 with the first product groups being various electronic control units for customers of the BAIC Group.
