Since 1995 the HELLA Business Division Lighting is active in China. So far two plants have been established, Changchun HELLA Automotive Lighting Co., Ltd. and HELLA Changchun Tooling Co., Ltd. The former was founded in 1995. In 2006 it was converted into a 100% subsidiary of HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA . The second plant HELLA Changchun Tooling Co., Ltd. being a 100% subsidiary of HHELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA . as well was founded in 2002.

Changchun HELLA Automotive Lighting Co., Ltd

Changchun HELLA Automotive Lighting Co., Ltd. (HCL) is a competence center renown in China and the Asia Pacific region for its Research; Design activities and manufacturing of automotive lighting. At present HCL has a headcount of over 790 employees, amongst them are more than 100 professional engineers fully engaged in Design; Development activities. HCL develops, designs, testing and produces a wide range of products covering aspects of automotive lighting, including headlamps, rear lamps and small lamps. Currently around 2.4 Mio headlamps and 1.5 Mio rear lamps are being produced. The plant is located in Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone.

HELLA Changchun Tooling Co., Ltd

HELLA Changchun Tooling Co., Ltd.(HCT) is a technology center active in the Asia Pacific region designing, developing and producing precision injection tools for lighting equipment. Currently HELLA Changchun Tooling Co., Ltd. has a headcount of  over 190 employees; more than 20 of them are engineers specialized in Design & Development activities. Each year more than 80 sets of precision tools for automotive lighting are being produced. Around 70% of the plant’s production capacity is exported to HELLA subsidiaries worldwide. The plant is located in Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Jiaxing Hella Lighting Co., Ltd.

Jiaxing HELLA Lighting Co, Ltd is a new production site HELLA Group launched in Yangzi River Delta region, which mainly provides the head lamps, rear lamps and single function lamps. It well-established customer portfolio comprising over 10 local as well as international OEMs. HJL was founded in July 2012, with registration capital RMB270 Mio. At present the company has a headcount of over 900 employees. HJL is the biggest HELLA factory in Asia.
